Name:
Shinichiro Jousaki
Nicknames:
Shin
Age:
13
Gender:
Male
Residence:
Minato
Occupation:
Heir to the Jousaki Corporation
Weaknesses:
The kid has serious issues when it comes to dealing with the facts of life; if things don't go exactly as he wanted them to, then consequences could be very dire. In turn, he's proven himself far too unworthy to even have a Digivice, meaning that he couldn't get a real Digimon partner even if he wanted to.
Personality:
A cold-hearted soul who really only cares about himself, Shin really couldn't care less about anyone else, not even his own family, since they never really seemed to spare any concern for him. He's not afraid to get downright cruel, and if he can get either Digimon or servants to do something for him, then all the better.
Likes:
Getting his way, power
Dislikes:
Being humiliated, losing
Appearance:
History:
Heir to the Jousaki Conglomerate, one of the largest corporations in Japan, Shin grew up being pampered and spoiled to no end by his caretakers. With the Jousaki Conglomerate having ties to the largest government branches in the country dating all the way back to World War 2, there was little that the family couldn't afford to deliver unto their child.
With the craze of V-Pets catching on, Shin saw this as an opportunity to flaunt his power a touch more. He got the aid of an anonymous benefactor to create a vicious beast from pure data, which the benefactor dubbed "Project Death", in exchange for some information that Shin really didn't know what it was meant for. With Project Death at his command, he instigated a private tournament for V-Pet owners called the Death Match Tournament. The rules were simple; people entered, their opponent was Shin, and the loser lost their V-Pet...
...permanently.
See, the thing about Project Death was that it fed on data, and used this data to replicate the prowess of its enemies. The more enemies it defeated, the stronger it would get, at the cost of the loser's V-Pet; something Shin clearly couldn't care less about. Several people ended up losing their V-Pets as a result; including one Makoto and one Kizuna...
...and this attracted the attention of one Kentarou, who challenged Shin and his unstoppable Project Death. The match seemed one-sided to start with, as Project Death had gathered some insane power during the tournament... but then, what Shin swore was some kind of glitch occurred, and Kentarou's V-Pet actually overpowered, and even annihilated, Project Death.
The glitch, however, caused severe damage to the tournament machine, and actually sucked in Kentarou and his two friends, leaving Shin to merely gawk at this sudden sting of humiliation...
...in his mind, Kentarou hadn't won the match. He had cheated his way to victory! That was the only explanation! Nothing was supposed to stop Project Death! This couldn't stand for the boy. He swore that even if it'd kill him, he would get back at the brat for wiping his win-streak clean in such a manner. No matter the cost...
