Dice Rolls
To use the dice, click the reply button (rather than use the quick reply). In the tag tray you'll see the option to add dice to your posts.
When you click the dice button, you'll see this:
Change the number there to whatever your dice stats is, which we will explain later.
After placing the desired number of tags, click preview (some users of Firefox will need to preview twice) to see what they will roll. These numbers are static and will not change with any number of previews, after posting, or with any edits you make.
Stats
Health Points (HP) - Speaks for itself, the amount of damage a character can take before defeat. Not used in dice rolls.
Digisoul Points (DP) - Human fighters only. Digisoul users can use Digisoul Points to perform Digisoul Skills. Digisoul Fighters can have their maximum amount of Digisoul Points equal to their HP, while Program Fighters have half of that.
Power - Sort of speaks for itself. It determines how strong or skilled their fighting attacks are. Power dice is only used when you do the attacking.
Speed - This determines how fast a character is; how quick he or she can dodge an attack. Use this when you're rolling against an attack. This can also be used when you're trying to get something before something or someone else does.
Defense - Another word that speaks for itself. This determines how much your character can take a beating from Power type attacks. If you used your speed dice and it failed to avoid an attack, use this as a second chance to withstand a total beatdown.
Sp Power - This determines how well your character succeeds in mental endeavors. After all, not all problems can be solved by beating things up. It's also used by characters who use projectile weapons and energy rather than their fists, so if your character uses those, use this die instead of physical.
Sp Defense - The counterpart of Defense, this is only used to defense against Sp Power attacks.
All Digimon have dice stats, but only particular humans who are capable of fighting on their own will have dice stats of their own. Non-combatants will generally use dice rolls of 6 for any type of roll.
As well, for ANY attack, you can only use a maximum of three dice rolls on a single target. For multiple targets, no more than one attack roll.
When making your app, setting your dice stats, you can only use 28 points, and nothing more. It would be set up something like this:
Renamon
HP: 30
Power: 8
Speed: 12
Defense: 6
Sp Power: 2
Sp Defense: 8
The Flow of Battle
For the sake of example, let's say a battle commenced between, say, Agumon and Renamon.
- Agumon attacks Renamon using his Pepper Breath, rolling a 10-sided dice using his Mental. He rolls a 6.
- Renamon uses her Speed stat to roll a 12-sided dice. She rolls a 9, allowing her to dodge the attack without taking any damage.
- Renamon then attacks back using a strong kick. Her Power is 8, and she rolls a 10-sided dice. She rolls a 5.
- Agumon makes a Speed roll, with a 6-sided die, but he only rolls a 2, and thus has been hit by the attack.
- If Agumon chooses to take damage without using a Defense roll, he must take damage equal to:
- In this case, Agumon would take 3 damage.
- If Agumon chooses to use his Defense roll, he rolls an 8-sided dice, and rolls a 6. Since he has rolled higher than Renamon's attack, he takes no damage. However, had he not been so lucky, he must take damage as thus:
- As one can obviously tell, the battle ends either when one side breaks off from engagement, or loses all their HP.
Leveling and Evolving
When you just start out in the RP, or have a new mon, you only need to defeat one opponent to level up. But each time it rises, till you need to beat five people to level up. REPEAT: 5 foes to defeat to level-up. BUT, sometimes, you may level up even more when defeating special bosses.
While Pokemon will follow the official stats on when to evolve...Digimon....uh, that TBA.
HOWEVER, Shinka Points will still be used in the same way. Pokemon can only use Shinka points to Digivolve when they have a trainer with a D-Sphere....but there are exceptions, later on. Shinka points can also be used like Rare Candies, but can only be done when an Digimon and Pokemon have human partners.
Stats
When you level up, usually a mod monitors the leveling stats. But each level-up rewards you with extra dice points, which you have control of where they go, even to HP.
When they evolve, they gain extra points, of course.
To Rookie (Stage 1): +5 stats/+10 HP
To Champion (Stage 2): +10 stats/+20 HP
To Ultimate (Stage 3): +40 stats/+60 HP
To Mega (Stage 4): +70 stats/+100 HP
To forms above Mega (Stage 4): +100 stats/+100 HP each
When Warp Digivolving, you also add in everything between.
There are some special exception to some forms. Evolve by Happiness, Trading, Stone, or Armor (or Gyarados): +15 stats/+30 HP
Psudo-Legendaries get +20 stats and +40 HP
Special Megas like Royal Knights, Demon Lords, and such have a Mega2 boost, with +200 HP.
Pokemon Mega Evolution, not to be confused with Digimon's Mega level, is a mode-change for Pokemon. They gain +20 stats and +30 HP. If evolve to Stage 3 from Mega-mode, gain only +20 stats and +30 HP. Warning! You can only Mega Evolve once per battle.
Oh yes! It'll be tough...but I'll have to go over many of the apps and decide what level everyone will be right now. But please...DO NOT erase your old stats. We'll see how this goes. This is also a way to judge how a character is, especially for new apps.
