Gary Oak just stared at a TV screen at the Johto League Pokemon Center, unable to believe what he saw. Though Ash Ketchum failed to become Champion, he actually won first place at the Johto League Silver Conference Victory Tournament. Yeah, he lost against the first Elite Four, but still... Well...at least it was to an Elite Four than some random trainer, after the kid defeated yours truly, otherwise he'd be embarrassed. To think Ashy-boy gone far ever since....that day.

Sitting beside a table, watching this, he sighed. He finally entered the Johto League and was able to reach to the finals before losing. He tried to go through his head on how he lost, but cannot think of anything... Maybe he's just not ready...? Maybe he was just impatient... Yeah... despite since growing a little from those days, he's still a kid. The only times he comes out mature is when Vincent is about... still, he and Vincent were mature enough on what to do after Johto returned to normal... For Jimmy, it was a choice he made when he saw his rival and another girl released two Lugias after his was turned to stone... release Ho-Oh when she was feeling better and it was all safe. He had to find a place where no trainer who desired a Legendary was about first, though... after a chat, Jimmy and his Pokemon waved as Ho-Oh left to somewhere... He wasn't ready to use a powerful Pokemon like that and probably never will. Jimmy did promise that when he feels like he's ready, he'll come for Ho-Oh... but, to be honest, it could take years and it'll probably never happen... So, he's not holding his breath... Getting up, he headed over to the counter to check up on his Pokemon and decide what to do next...

"..." The red-head, known to be Ash's travel companion, was sitting alone on a table, watching the news. That Pokemon League was hours ago, and she was happy for Ash winning first place. But what ruined it for her? Well, she got a call from her sisters, and...

"...hey, Misty?" A voice would cut through her melancholic silence then, as someone sat down opposite of her. And that someone would be Ash, adjusting his cap a bit as he looked at her with some concern. "You ran off a while back... is something wrong?" To anyone who just knew Ash as an eager and exciteable Pokémon Trainer, him immediately jumping to a concerned tone might've seemed out of character. Though considering what had happened earlier, those who knew the circumstances likely wouldn't be surprised. Still, he wasn't alone in this concern; Pikachu had gotten on the table, tilting his head at Misty.

As well as Brock, standing beside Misty. "Did something happened with you and your sisters?" Groaning, for she didn't want to say it. "I dunno...I just..." Rubbing her head, "Argh!! They want me to go back!!"

Ash blinked briefly. "...back? You mean... back to the gym?" Pikachu rubbed his head. Why would they need her to go back, if the three of them could alternate between each other at that gym...?

"They're going on a world tour, and they need me to watch the gym." Gritting with anger, "But knowing them, that could take forever!" "Which means..." Oh dear, he felt really bad for Misty. That might mean she can never travel with them.

The same went for him, and his head lowered a bit. He couldn't find the words to describe how he felt. He felt sympathy towards Misty for being forced into this kind of position, crestfallen due to his first traveling companion having to leave... regret that they might never get to travel together again...

"Feh." Carelessly resting his feet on a table, Gary's eyes paid no attention to them, but he heard it all. "Why you gotta let those lazy broads boss ya around if they never lift a finger in that gym? I say 'no way'." Yeah, it was true that, under their care, the Cerulean Gym hadn't gained any respect. Her sisters were too busy shopping, going on vacations, and worrying about their looks more than the pride of the family gym. "That's pretty much why I have to go back. I need to bring back honor to my gym."

You'd never think the day would come where Ash Ketchum would agree with both what Gary and Misty had to say, but there it was; he wanted Misty to just throw the position in her sister's faces, but he also knew that if she didn't go back, Cerulean Gym would be made an even bigger laughing stock. Even Pikachu found Ash's silence a little off-putting, so he lightly tapped his tail against his arm. "...well, uh..." He adjusted his cap a little, hiding his eyes just a touch. "...we could, um..." But still words failed him, to his own chagrin.

Before Misty could speak her words of depression, the news kicked in. "We interrupt this broadcast for an emergency warning. The GTS system has been under an emergency lockdown due to a severe virus attack that were deleting stored Pokemon, and Pokemon in mist of trading." This got his attention so, that he removed his feet off the table. "The heck!?"

"Uh?!" He quickly perked up at hearing that, looking over at the TV screen. "Deleting Pokémon?!"

"The virus is of unknown origin, but researchers say that the virus' location and movements are very erratic, as if it is alive. As of now, GTS systems are down from trading, and Pokémon Banks are under emergency locks. Trainers who wish to check on stored Pokémon are ask to go to this website for further instructions." "...alive?" The only way it can be like that is if...... "...oh no."

"...not good." Ash seemed to come to the same conclusion as Brock did, as he quickly stood up from the table and picked up Pikachu. "Excuse me!" And he quickly hurried towards the closest vacant computer, going to the website. Just to be safe that the 'virus' hadn't gotten to any of their friends...

And on screen, a small window popped up, waiting for Ash to click it. It had Professor Oak's number. "Hm?" Looking over Ash's shoulder, he took the mouse and clicked it. "Ah! Ash and Gary. Good that I got both of you."
