V-Pet...digital handheld pets to mimic the experience of caring for an actual pet. Since the creation of Dogz, in 1995, virtual pets became a worldwide phenomenon, especially in Japan. Bandai created their own line of virtual pets, known as Tamagotchi; furthering the improvement of virtual pets. In 1997, Bandai wanted to further the success of Tamagotchi by creating a spin-off, to attract a male audience, since Tamagotchi was more for girls.
V-Petmon was their answer. It became, not only a hit, but attracted top businesses to help enhance the virtual experience...Jousaki Conglomerate. The corporation was so big, with such rich resources, they made weapons and electronics that seem years ahead the present time. And they made virtual holographic consoles for V-Petmons, found in some large arcade stores.
But it was strange that a big-time company, such as them, would waste their money for a game. Why, Kizuna Shinkai wondered. Well, maybe she can get some answers at the V-Pet engine, which just came in for the Shinjuku arcade. So many kids crowded the building just to get a look at it.
"Wow!" She could barely see, so she had to sit on a table, by a food stand booth, just to see the mini electronic stadium.
It was though the monster were real...almost; you can see light they emitted from. But still, this was an awesome experience to see.
She saw, what looked like some kind of cyborg black rabbit...versus some sort of small black mage thing.
The rabbit was owned by some tough but snotty brown-haired girl who leads a small gang of bullies.
And the mage was owned by a nerdy guy.
"So it's decided. If I win, me and my gang gets to use the student counsel room whenever we want." the girl grinned.
"Fine. But if I win, you got to obey the school rules, and stop harassing the student counsel."
